A grommet shield Honeywell uses on missiles was molded from a thermoset PPS (Ryton) material. It presented a high degree of difficulty since it required an extremely thin blade in the tool steel. There was no gate, so the parts had to be hand-finished under a microscope, with needle files.

Result: Through a concentrated production effort, including hand-finishing, this project was delivered on time.
