Markem® Corporation, one of the world’s largest suppliers of printing equipment, decided to outsource its molding operation to make room for more profitable segments of business. The company selected Quadra-Tek™ to be its source—turning over more than 300 different molds to us. As part of the plan for a seamless conversion, we purchased most of its existing equipment. And, since many of the Markem® molds were hand molds, Quadra-Tek™ converted them to automatic in order to reduce costs.

Result: Through more effective use of its facility space and thanks to efficiencies Quadra-Tek™ took on its behalf, we have proved to be cost-efficient as an outsource supplier— substantially reducing Markem’s molding costs.
