ARLINGTON INDUSTRIES CHANGES NAME TO QUADRA-TEK™

ARLINGTON, VT. Arlington Industries, Inc. is changing its name to Quadra-Tek. "After 33 years," John N. Haugsrud, vice president and son of John L. Haugsrud, company founder, said, "the name change more accurately reflects the technology and customized processes required to produce the molded plastic parts we supply."

Phillip E. Webb, president, made the announcement at a company-wide meeting and sign-changing ceremony at the Arlington plant, which was attended by Larry Molloy, Selectman, Gary Burke, director Bennington County Regional Planning Commission and Al Godreau, Land Use Administrator.

"As a precision molder of thermosets and thermoplastics, many of our customers are in high tech industries," Webb said. "It makes sense for a company with the name of Quadra-Tek to supply vital plastic parts for the aerospace, computer, electronic, medical and defense industries."

"We are taking pains to assure employees, customers and the business community that the legacy of John L. Haugsrud continues, and evolved to meet the changing needs of our clients," Haugsrud said. "The company's overriding concern is precision, quality assurance and customer service. And the friendship of those we serve remains the foundation of our progress."

The company has just launched its new Web site, www.quadra-tek.com and is notifying the industries it services that the company name has changed to Quadra-Tek.

Webb credits the company's success to the four cornerstones of customer service that enable them to turn clients' ideas into successful product: problem-solving, partnerships, technical distinction and quality assurance.

Some of Quadra-Tek's customers include: Baxter, Bayer, Corning, Goodrich, Digital Equipment, General Electric, IBM, Kimberly-Clark, Honeywell, Northrop, Texas Instruments and Textron.
